A bar takes on a different significance when you’re travelling as they often turn into your surrogate living room.

They are places you can relax, and the “rental” price is simply your consumption.

You’ll find some or all of these needful things in a bar….free wifi, restrooms, comfy furniture, funky decor, live music, snacks, books, as well as the obvious, drinks. Bonus for friendly staff, but aloof is also good, it buys you longer between drinks.
